Only 24 hours in a day

No person can escape this fact. We all have to realize the clock started counting down when we were born. This means that just like anything in short supply, we must ration out our commodity in order of importance. Let’s look at it this way. You start with 24. Take out 7-8 hours for sleeping and eating. Now you have 17-18 hours. That’s the maximum you have in order to live. Now let’s take my life for example. I work a 9-5 so that’s 8 hours plus an hour travel total to and from. I have 8-9 hours max. I also go to the gym for an hour plus travel. Let’s say I have 6-7 hours. Oh! you can’t forget about hygiene. Anyway, you get the point. Things start to add up quickly each day depending on your lifestyle. I challenge you to track either on paper or in your mind what you spend the most time on each day. Does this fall in line with the things most important to you? If not, keep in mind there are only so many hours in the day. Order the tasks you want to accomplish from most important to least important. It’s OK if you don’t get to everything. When you do this, you know that what you value never falls off.
